Prince Albert meets President Poineare and his wife at Dover at noon to£ay. They arrive at Victoria Station at 3 o'clock, where the King and Queen will meet and accompany them to Buckingham Palace. They will be attended by a sovereign's escort, and troops will line the streets. There is to be a State banquet to-night. President Poineare, .in acknowledging an address at Dover, said that side by side we had achieved victory. Let us perpetuate the friendships 'of the battlefield. The Newspaper Proprietors' Asuocia. tion celebrated the visit by giving a luncheon to 30 'French journalists, English editors, and others, at the Savoy, Lord Burnham presidir-r. Paris, Nov. 10. The newspapers attach political significance to the visit of MM. Poineare and Pichon to London and expect an understanding on the Russian situation will be arrived at. The Gaulois regards Mr. Lloyd George's pronouncement as a capitulation to the Bolsheviks, which will inevitably- lead to an alliance between Germany and the Slavs. Other newspapers condemn Mr. Lloyd George's new policy towards Russia. A STATE BANQUET, BRILLIANT SCENE AT THIS PALACE. Received Nov. 12, 11.25 p.m. London, Nov. 11. The King and Queen gave a State Banquet to President Poineare, which was a scene of great magnificence.
