WANGANUI CELEBRATIONS.
Wanganui, Nov. 11. The armistice anniversary was celebrated in fine weather, ' and a general holiday was observed. The main function was the children's celebrations, which had been postponed from the official peace celebrations in July last. Between four and five thousand children from the town and district assembled on the racecourse, where they were given lunch and afterwards suitably entertained. It Was an impressive sight when the large crowd of children and adults participated in the simple memorial service for the gallant dead.
