The Tokio correspondent of the Daily Express states the Government is anxious to allay (lie foreign <m««ichs arising out of the Shantung settlement and shortly opc(ns. negotiations) with China for a restitution of Germany* acquisitions in Shantung, bat retains the economic concessions. It is believed Japan will act generously in order to enable an early settlement, especially as Japan severely ieels the effect of the Chinese traders' boy-cott-—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
