SEARCH FOR TREASURE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 10, 12.20 a.raMelbourne, Nov. 9. The search for gold among the wreck-, age of the steamer Monumental City proved fruitless. Part of an iron safe was salvaged, but although the searchers are convinced gold went down with the ship they think others got there before them.
