The House of Commons Select Committee, in addition to recommending an Increase in old age pensions, favors the abolition of the income barrier involving a further expenditure of ten millions. The minority reports consider the money would be better spent in lowering the age limit and further increasing pensions or raising the income barrier to correspond with the decreased value of money,
