MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
INGLEWOOD PROCEEDINGS. At Inglcwood yesterday, a youth was brought before 'Mr. T.' A. B. Bailey, S.M., on remand, on a charge of breaking into the dwelling of Mr. .1. H. Lyon, at AVaitui, with intent to commit a crime. Senior-Sergeant Willis (New Plymouth) conducted the prosecution and accused was represented by Mr. Grant. Accused pleaded not guilty and reserved his defence, being committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court in New Plymouth. A man charged with a breach of tiie war regulations was convicted on technical grounds, of purchasing a revolver without having a permit. It appeared that sonio time ago the defendant while at Te Awamutu mef a man who, being hard up, offered to sell him a, revolver, and £1 was accented for the piece. Subsequently the selling came to the ears of the nolice, and on the discovery be-, in"? made that he had sold a revolver without having a permit, he was prosecuted for the offence. Search was instituted and the prosecution of Mr. Morenscv yesterday was the result. No penalty was inflicted.
