CRICKET.
ASSOCIATION MEETING. A meeting of delogstes to the North Taranaki Cricket Association was held at the Soldiers' Club last night, there being a good attendance. The only clubs not represented were Old Boys, Waireka, Albion and the country clubs. Mr. E. Whittle presided. question of the visit of the Nomads about Christmas time was discussed, .and it was resolved to see if a visit oould be arranged for December 30 and 31. The matter of the prospect of a visit from the South African Soldiers' team was also discussed, but details were left over, pending the receipt of more definite information on the question. The following were appointed selectors for the Association:—Messrs E. Lash and C. G. Bottrill (New Plymouth) and D. Cliff (Inglewood). It was decided to endeavor to form an umpire association, and a number of names of old enthusiasts were handed in. The' secretary was requested to act into touch with those gentlemen at the earliest possible date, to enlist their practical supnort by devoting time, as far as possible, to this branch of the sport. ,
