Telegrams from Alexandria indicate the increasing gravity of the Egyptian situation. , Sir Valentine Chirol, writing in the Times, says the greatest tension exists. Lord Milner's contemplated mission is too late to act as a pacifying influence and might be a signal for a graver political crisis than any previous. The Times blames the Government for deplorable laxness in dealing with the situation.—Times Service.
