BRITISH OFFICERS IN TURKEY. ENCOUNTERS WITH BRIGANDS. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Nov. 6, 12.45 a.m. London, Nov. 3. It was related at the Prize Court that eight British officers who were prisoners at Yozgad, in Turkey, in 1018, escaped and reached the coast in an emaciated condition after untold privations and hair-breadth escapes, including . encounters with brigands. They swam to the Turkish tug Hortlia lying in the harbour. Noiselessly they raised the anchor and rowed off under the nose of the sentry. They started the engines and made, for Cyprus sailing by a compass and the sun. The Court congratulates the officers and decreed the prize theirs.—Times Service. ■======——
