THE CITY OF WINCHESTER.
THE FIRE UNDER CNTROL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The fire on the City of Winchester is now under control, though not completely extinguished. The seat Of the fire is not definitely known, but it is believed to have been in the insulation in the freezing chamber next to coil shipped in Virginia. The coal is being shifted as a precautionary measure as it is slightly warm. The three men taken to hospital suffering from the effects of gas pumped into the vessel have been discharged from hospital, having recovered.
