DEVON STREET FIRE.
INSURANCE ON BUILDINGS AND STOCK. The insurance on the huildisgs anil stocks concerned in the Devon Street fire on Friday night were aa follow: The Tunbridge Trustees building, £3OO in the London and Lancashire office (the policy, which was previously held by the Standard office had been transferred); Petty Bros' stock, £350 in the Commercial Union and £l5O in the South British; Mr. Abbott's building, £6OO in the State office, and £4OO on his stock in the State office and £3OO in the South British; Mr. Haughton's stock and plant were insured for £350 in the Norwich Union office, and he had a separate policy in the New Zealand Company's office on the pianola. * Petty Bros. and.„Mr *Haughton arc both heavy, losers. Mr. Petty considered his firm's loss would be considerably over £IOOO, and Mr. Haughton said his loss would 'not be less than £6OO above the amount of his insurances.
