Seely (Parliamentary Secretary to the Air Ministry), in the House of Commons, said that the War Office, in the spring, was informed of the urgent demand for large aircraft in Egypt.. Three Handley-Page squadrons were sent by air in view of the emergency, though necessarily this involved considerable risks.
