MORE GERMAN TRICKERY. By Telegraph.—Press As»n.--<opyrlght Paris, October 25. Germany has sent 1000 troops and many machine-guns to Flensberg (Schleswig-Holstein) on the pretext of restoring order. The action-is legal because evacuation is not compulsory till the Treaty becomes operative, but probably it will influence the plebiscite in Schleswig. The* Germans, in upper Silesia, are conducting municipal elections, which wider the Treaty must not be held until the evacuation is complete. The Supreme Cbuncil has ordered an inquiry in both cases.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. MOSLEMS AND TURKEY. 'Bombay, October 27. Mohammedan India celebrated a day of fasting and prayer for the purpose of protesting against the partition of Turkey and the diminution of the temporal power of the Sultan. The 'Kalif of the Moslems exhorted the Hindus to join in the observances and said that no political changes could harm the power of Islam, as the fullest religious liberties were allowed under/ the British flag. BLOCKADE OF GERMANY. Copenhagen, October 20. A message from Kiel says the naval authorities announce that the blockade is now moderated, and does not apply to territorial waters, enabling the resumption of German Baltic coastal shipping. ■.
