GIRL ACCIDENTALLY WOIWDED,
By Telegraph.—Press -Associations - CSmstchurch, Last Night. Through the accidental discharge of a German pistol, Miss , Marjorio Leigh. Barbadoeß Street, a daughter of Mr. A, F. Leigh, manager of th* Christchuroh branch of the Dunlop Bubbler Company, now lies in Lewisham Hospital' with » bullet wound in the chest. Yesterday morning, Lieut. R. Pearson, R.N.R. (at one time master of the coastal steamer Apouri), returned to /Christchuroh from active service, having arrived by the Remuera. » La the afternoon, Lieut. Pearson was showing some friends who live '.n the neighbourhood several war trophies he brought back with him. Among them was the pistol, which he did not know was loaded. The pistol was accidentally discharged, Miss Leigh receiving the bullet.
