PRESENT DAILY EXPENDITURE. HUGE PAST LOANS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Oct. 23. Mr. Austen Chamberlain, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced that for the six months ending September 30, the daily expenditure was £3,225,000 and the daily income £1,508,000. Britain lent during the war time 1800 millions, of which she would receive only six millions this year. ! The Government would not introduce an autumn Budget. Parliament has reassembled. Messrs Chamberlain and Lloyd George promised that an opportunity would be given to discuss the financial situation when the revised estimates were submitted on Monday.
