QUESTION OF SALE TO HOME GOVERNMENT. (By Wire.—Own Correspondent.) Wellington, Last Night. Mr G. V. Pearce (Patea), in the House to-day, asked if a report from Australia that the meat commandeer had been renewed there at Sd per pound was correct. 'Had the Government any information on the point? Mr Massey said he had not seen the report and he had no information regarding it. He had cabled to the High Commissioner about a month ago asking if the Imperial _ authorities were willing to renew the contract with the New Zealand meat producers, but he had not yet received a reply. He would send another cablegram at once.
