LABOR DAY SPORTS.
PRIZES DOUBLED. That spells success. The splendid response to the appeal in connection with the Labor Day sports, has decided the committee to double all the prizes in the open events, 220 yds., 440 yds., 100 yds., and returned soldiers' races. The children will have the time of their lives—3oo prizes for children of 14 -and under. Send your boy to compete in the championship, when a high-class English-made bat will be given as first prize. . The happiest of days for the children—that is worth while anyway. Don't forget—Labor Day, Monday l'jxt at Pukekura Park.
