ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A FIREMAN'S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday. A steamer's fireman, believed to be Thomas Hardiman, who signed, off the Durham at Wellington oh September If), was found dead in a lavatory at the seamen's hlome this morning With a handkerchief twice enclosing the neck, the ends being held in his hands, Death was obviously from strangulation. At the inquest to-day, the coroner said it was possible deceased ,had a seizure. He adjourned the inquest for post mortem. Apparently deceased arrived in Auckland on Friday morning by train.
