RIGA QUIET.
SHELLS CAUSE FEW CASUALTIES.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Received Oct. 17, 7.50 p.m. Helsingfors, Oct. 16. After the bombardment, all is quiet at Riga. The shells, throughout, killed and wounded only ten inhabitants,— AUB-N.Z. Cable Assn. REPORTED RECAPTURE OF KIEFF. LETTS ACTIVE AT RIGA. Received Oct. 17, 7.50 p.m. London, Oct. 16. A Bolshevik wireless message reports that the Soviet troops on Wednesday recaptured Kieff. Copenhagen reports that the situation at Riga is satisfactory, and that the Letts, in some places, are initiating counter attacks. The Letts crossed the Dvina, and operations, are developing favorably.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. NAVAL CO-OPERATION. Copenhagen, Oct. 16. An AnglotFrench naval force has arrived at Riga.
