A message from Baltomol says that Mr. Taft at the unitarian conference stated that the American moral tone and patriotic spirit of the people.had decayed since the war ended. Received Oct. 16, 7.20 p.m. Washington, Oct. 15. Mr. Joseph Daniels (Secretary to the Navy) made a proposal to Congress to create a national Hadio-Telegrahpic Commission to control and maintain private stations for purposes of commercial and private business. Senator Owen, speaking in the Senate, proposed that interpretative resolutions be attached to the Peace Treaty as ratified, outlining the United States' attitude to the preservation of Egypt's right of self-government. He disclaimed any desire to amend the Treaty.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. . ' THE INDUSTRIAL CRISIS. Washington, Oct. 15. The White House has notified the Industrial Conference that it is President Wilson's desire that it should remain in session until it has devised a plan to meet the present industrial crisis.
