GOLF.
WELLINGTON LADIES' TOURNAMENT. An open championship meeting will be held at the Heretaunga links during this month hy the Wellington Ladies' Golf Club. This open meeting has only been held once previously, In IP 14, and was then a great success; the championship was won by Miss Lucy Brandon. Large entries are expected this year, as there are now many local flourishing golf clubs, and much interesting play may be witnessed. Among those competing will be many ladfc" golfers prominent at the Auckland meeting, notably Miss Wright, who won the New Zealand ladies' rhamplonshfp, and Miss (iambrill, who was runner-up. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The final of the New Plymouth Club's men's championship between A. Bewley and A. S. Hasell will he played to-morrow morning. Tho ladles' medal match arranged for yesterdny was postponed owing to the unsettled weather. The match will be played next Tuesday. At present It is proposed to close the season with mixed foursomes on Saturday week.
