POLITICAL
WELLINGTON SOUTH Colonel G. Mitchell, D.5.0., who is acting as Wellington district organiser for the Returned Soldiers' Association, has decided to become a candidate at the general elections for the Wellington South seat, which is at present filled '■< Mr Robert Semple. AUCKLAND WEST. Mr C. H. Poole having announced his decision not to again contest the Auckland West seat for private reasons, Mr A. J. Entrican, a leading merchant and Deputy-Mhvor of Auckland, will stand for the seat as a Progressive Liberal.
