There is reason to hope that a solution of the Fiume difficulty is immediately attainable on the lines of temporary occupation of the port by Italy as representing the Allies. Even the Press supporters of D'Annunzio hint that his personal hostility to Rignor Nitti must not block a satisfactory adjustment of national questions. Signor Tittoni is going to Paris on the 14th- inst. with a view to securing a permanent settlement.—Times Service. KING'S ABDICATION DENIED. Received Oct. 14, 1.15 a.m. Rome, Oct. 13. An official denies the rumors that the King decided to abdicate in connection with the Fiume affair.—Reuter.
