• SOUTH AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Oct. 11. In the South Auckland ladies' gplf championship final, Miss Wright (Timaru) beat Miss Anderson (Christchurch) by three up and two to play. NEW PLYMOUTH CHAMPIONSHIPS. The New Plymouth senior golf championship was advanced a stage further last week, when Hasell beat Smith in the final "of the Thursday section, and Bewley beat Grey at the last green after a strenuous game in the final of the Saturday section. The date for the play-off between lias oil and Bewley has yet to be arranged. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The ladles' match arranged against Ingle-' 'wood for to-morrow will not take place, The club wiil play the monthly medal match for a silver button, playent to choose ' their own opponents. STRATFORD CLUB. The Stratford Club closed the season on Thursday, when a fifteen-hole mixed foursome and medal handicap was played. The results were: Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Curtis 82—4—78, 1, and R. B. Anderson and Mrs. Budge, 81—2— 79, 2. For the third place, J. R, L. Stanford and Mrs. Abraham, 83 net, and F. P. Uniacke and Mrs. Truby King, 94—11—83, tied. Sixteen pairs entered. At the conclusion, the ladies' and men's championship prizes were presented by the president (Mr. H. D. Hill) to the winners, Mr 3. Burmister and Mr. Phil Wright. Mrs, Glasgow the winner of the last mixed foursome flag match was also presented with a prize. The ladles' prize for Thursday's match, which was won by Mrs. Curtis, was preseuted by Mr. J. R. L. Stanford.
