FARMERS' CO-OP, REPORT. At Opunake, on Monday, there was an average yarding of cattle which met with fair demand. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report:— There was an extra large yarding of both dairy and store cattle last Thursday at Westflcld. Competition was keener for all lines, and we report a good sale. Westfceld fat stock market on Wednesday beef was penned in less than average num* bevs, and mostly of inferior quality. Prices for prime quality were firm ut late quotations, inferior quality were lower in values. Best oxen sold to £3 7s per 1001b. others £2 15s to £3 5s per 1001b; cow and heifer beef sold, at from £2 14s to £3 2s per 1001b; steers sold at from £l3 to £22 15s. cows and heifers sold at from £9 to £ls 15s. Sheep were penned in more than average numbers, being mostly of inferior quality. For all prime quality competition was keen at last week's quotations, inferiorly fatted being easier.
