At the adjourned inquest on Catherine Page, a young woman who died suddenly at Palmerston North last week, the coroner said there was no certainty as to the cause of death, but it was probably due to air embolism as the result of the use of a syringe in an endeavor to produce a miscarriage. James Arrol, aged 29, married, while working at a quarVy at Rangitoto, was struck by a portion of the derrick and died in the hospital to-night from injuries to the head. A married man named Benjamin Melville, nged 35 years, employed as an engine driver on the Takapuna trams was found dead in the bathroom of his residence with a wound in his head and a gun lying by his side.
