The Herald states that three-quarters of the State is in the throes of the worst drought experienced for forty years and suggests that the Government assist Dy importing large stocks of fodder from New Zealand. It gives an instance of a station in the north where recently the owners cut the throats of 8000 good wethers to save them from dying of starvation.
