The Vienna correspondent of the Chicago Tribune states that the proposal to sell Austrian art treasures in order to buy food for the populace is being seriously considered. A dispatch from Monte A T ideo snys that the President reported to the Chamber of Deputies the Italian application for a five million dollars loan for the nurchase of Uruguayan products. MOTOR-CYCLE RACE. New York, Oct. 2. "Cannon" Ball" Coleman is among the 60 entrants for the motor-cycle race on the Sheepshead Bay speedway on October 4. FEDERAL LIVING WAGE. Sydney, Oet. 3. The new livincr wage has caused consternation amongst employers, who declare that the State Industries will receive a staggering blow in competition with other States.
