{ DEPUTATION TO MINISTERS, * (By Wire.—Special to Dally News.V r Wellington,. Last Night. "B A deputation, consisting of the chair"*! men of the Clifton, Awakino, and WaW tomo Counties, and the Hon. Olive< Samuel, representing the Taranakl Cham*, ber of Commerce, waited on the Minister); of Public Works this evening re thej main road between Waitara and T«> Kuiti. The deputation was introduceifc by Mr. Jennings. Sir William Eraser replied that thera was over £70,000 on the Estimates fpr<. the three counties, and he could do no, more this year. He would not provide for the Mokau bridge this' year. Hir instructions to the district engineer* was' to push on with the work.- Ha promised to put through a straight-outi v vote of £6OO for metalling the UrutJ road.
