WEATHER REPORT.
FOR SEPTEMBER, 1910. (Recorded at Ptikekura Park Meteorological Station; altitude 160 ft.) Being file period of tho vernal equinox (September 1 to October 12), tho equinoctial winds mid storms began with the month, and have been almost continuous throughout. High gales occurred on the Ist, 2nd, 13th, 26th and 23th. Storm winds occurred on 15 days, while eight were days of fresh to strong chilly winds. Comparing the records of previous corresponding months, it was the most stormy and chilly on record. Hall storms occurred on Ist and 21st. Thunderstorms were noted on Ist, 23rd, and 28th. Cloudiness ranged from 10 (sunless) on 10th to 0 (full sunshine) oj. seven days. Snow fell on Mt. Egmont on 15 days. Followiug are the records of the month; — . Maximum thermometer, 67deg. on Ist, 52deg. on 2nd. Minimum thermometer, 48deg. on 2Sth, 40 deg. on 7th. Maximum wet-bulb, COdeg. on 29th, 44deg. on 2nd. Minimum wet-bulb, 47deg. on 25th, 41deg. on 7th. Solar radiator (sun's heat), 137deg. on 21st, HCdeg. on iOth. Terrestrial radiator (3in. from grass), 47 deg. on 23th, 40deg. on 7th. Sunshine recorder, lOhr. 53min. on 12th, Ihr 29min. on 26th; total 222 hr. 2mln. The 10th was sunless. Rain was registered on 20 days, 145 points on 10th, 2 points on 11th; total 5.009 in. Wind, North 1, west 2, south 18, south-west 9 days. There were no calm days.
