Received Sept. 30, 8.35 p.m. New York, Sept. 29. According to information from Pittaburg, the reports from the steel districts indicate a alight increase in mill furnace operation?. THE SEAMEN'S TROUBLE. Received Sept. 30, 9.25 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 30. Walsh was present at the seamen's meeting, but the press were excluded The officials are reticent. It is reported that the owners have requested the seamen to postpone their decision pending a conference.—Aus.-N.55. Cable Assn. Received Oct. 1, 1.15 a.m. Sydney, Sept. 30. The seamen's meeting adjourned for a couple of days to enable the owners to come into line. Officials report they had the greatest difficulty in restraining the men from striking to-morrow.
