STAFF APPOINTMENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. It was announced last week that 48 candidates had been selected to undergo three months' qualification course at Trentham prior to appointment on the New Zealand Staff Corps, which is now very much under peace strength, owing to war losses, and on account of age, medical unfitness, etc. It is now officially stated in this connection that the question of nominating the few officers required to complete thj establishment of New Zealand artillery engineers anil army service corps and the three specialist branches was not considered by the Board of Selection, which recently assembled at general headquarters. This matter is to Tbe considered at a later date, when requirements will be more fully known.
