CRICKET.
OLD BOYS' CLUB. A meeting of the High School Old Boys' Club was held on Friday evening. Mr. R. H. Monteath was appointed hon. secretary A committee consisting of Messrs. A. Bewley and A. Osborne and the secretary, was appointed to draft rules, and arrange for a further meeting on a date to be advertised. FREEZING WORKS CLUB. The Freezing Works Club held a meeting on irlday last, when the following officers were elected: President, Mr. J. Milne; vice-presi-dent, Mr S. G. Smith, M.P.; club captain, Mr. b. H. Barber; teams' captain, Mr. C. P. Clarke; lion, treasurer, Mr. W. Girling; hon. secretary, Mr. J. Reld. Arrangements were made to commence practices immediately. Mr. f £ st S n forward e<l a donation to the club, tor which thanks were expressed, and several members of the club gave donations. It is hoped the club will be able to maintain a ground at the Waiwakalho show grounds. A meeting of players will be held at Mr. Lennan s buildings on Wednesday, at 12.15 p.m.
