Slacken, for Auckland, scored in the first half. This was the only score of tbo match, and Auckland thus won the gamo, taking the shield from the holders (Canterbury). LADIES' TOURNAMENT. Chrlstchurch, Saturday, in the ladles' hockey tournament to-day, Canterbury A. beat Auckland by 8 goals to nil. Manawatu beet Neiuon by 2to 1. Wellington beat Canterbury B. by 2 to nil.
