ASSAULT AND ROBBERY.
VICTIM RENDERED UNCONSCIOUS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A sensational story of how lie was attacked by two men in a back street at Parnell, and robbed of £4l), on Thursday night, is recounted by Willium Waugh, aged (10 years, who lies in the Auckland hospital suffering from concussion of the brain. The victim of the assault was found lying in a pool of blood, and unconscious, in a dark corner of Selwyn Terrace late on Thursday night. Waugh had a wallet containing £4O, the proceeds of a business transi action, _in his pocket. Waugh states ho was set upon suddenly by two men. He remembers feeling a blow on the head and someone going through his pockets! His assailants were strongly built, but owing to the darkness he could not see I their features.
