The Shipping Board has refused to hand over to Britain the Eraperator and other German ships, which it was expected would be pooled amongst the Allies for distribution after the war. The United States claim the vessels per-manently.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. A BREACH OF FAITE, BRITISH ASTONISHMENT. Received Sept. 28, 11.5 p.m. Washington, Sept 27. The British Minister expressed astonishment on learning of the United States' breach of faith regarding the dejlverance of the ships. The press recalls the fact that the ships were delivered to the United States purely as transports in order to enable Americans to return to their homes.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
