The members of the W.N.R. realised that a doctor s time was precious, and recognised that the lecturer could not have been given without making soni- -nerifice. If, like Dr. Cordon, everv citizen would give a little time for the benefit of the community the conditions of life would be much better for all. On behalf of the W.N.R.. he was very pleased to ask Dr. Gordon's acceptance of a siUei salad bow 1, as a mark of appreciation and esteem. The gift , vas suitably acknowledged by Dr..Gordon. It was intended to present Nurse Nicholas 1 , who had assisted with demonstrations at the lectures, with a gold pendant, but as the nurse is awav on holiday this had to be .postponed.
