The New Zealand and Australian Land Company paid a final dividend on ordinary shares of 5 per cent, and 5 per cent, bonus, S per cent, free of tax. AUSTRALIAN FREIGHTS. London, Sept. 24. There Is no prospect of any reduction in Australian freights. Shipowners point out, that British ships chartored for any other part of the world earn equivalent to 25s per month, whereas the earnings of vessels engaged in the Australian trade are 15s.
