A steamer' ashore.
FEARED A TOTAL WRECK. By Telegraph.—Press Assu—Copyright. Received Sept. 24, 1 a.m. Sydney, Sept, 23. A wireless message received by the Navy Department reports that the steaniei Tambo, outward bound from Sydney, is ashore on a reef on Abumamu Island, in the Gilbert Group, and is probably a total loss. There are no details, but it is believed all hands were saved.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Aasn.
