The men for the Wellington district leave to-night, and the men for Auck> land by the Monowai on Monday. Wellington, Sept. 20. The Hororata is a clean ship and the troops landed this morning. They ha4a line trip except on September 9, when 1 a heavy sea smashed the dental re<nn and damaged the canteen. Men for Main Trunk towns, Rotorua, Thames, Wairarapa, Canterbury, and Nelson leave I to-day, and those for Taranaki, Hawke's Bay, Otago, and Marlborough, on Menday, THE TAINUI'S DRAtT. Wellington, Sept. 20. The transport arrangements for the troops arriving by the Tainui, whieh la expected to-morrow, are: Details for eta. tions beyond Marton to Auckland, including Rotorua and Thames, will leave Thorndon by the express at 12.4? p.m. on Monday. Details for station* between Wellington and Palmerston North, and between Wanganul and New Plymouth, and Napier and Gisborne depart by special train at 8.20 a.m. on Monday. The men by this train fof stations beyond Palmerston North detrain at Palmerston North, whence they will be taken by special trains leaving at 2 p.tb. on Monday. Men for stations between Wanganui and New Plymouth Will be billetted in Wanganui oil Monday night, and will go on on Tuesday, the Wairarapa men will leave Lainbton by the 8 a.m. train on Monday. The met for Canterbury, Otago, Southland/and South of Westport will leave by the Mnwi,. at 7.45 p.m. on Monday, add the ttMn for North of Westport, Picton, Blenheim, and Nelson by the Pateena at noon on Monday. A SAD FATALITY. Wellington, Last Night. The Tainui, from London, via Paaama, arrived in the harbor at 5.15 a.m. to-day, and berthed at 3 p.m. She brought 383 troops and 60 wives. A very large crowd gathered at the wharves to welcome the arrivals. The voyage was a good one, though it was marred by a oasualty. Farrier-Sergt. Joseph, of the* Engineers, after leaving Panaau, wa# lost overboard. He accompanied by his wife, who continued the voyage to New Zealand.
