70 BODIES RECOVERED. ! By Telegraph.—Press Assa.—Copyright. Received Sept. 17, 5.5 p.m. New York, Sept. 16. Seventy bodies of victims of the Texas hurricane have been recovered.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. GROWING LOSS OF LIFE. Received Sept. 18, 12.10 a.m. New.York, Sept. 16. In connectign with the Texas floods disaster, there is a growing loss of life, probably 1000 so far. Two hundred bodies have been recovered. Several small towns were demolished and 500 of the inhabitants are believed to have been drowned at Robetown. The British steamer Bayronton foundered. A portion of the crew weft rescued. Three thousand are homeless in the town of Corpus Christi, which is under martial law.—Reuter.
