DISABLED SOLDIERS.
THE KING'S APPEAL. By Tebsraph.—Pws* Assn.— Received Sept. 16, 5.5 p.m. London, Sept. 14. A Royal proclamation urges employers *0 pledge themselves to employ disabled'soldiers at least by a minimum pf five per cjnt. of their total workmen. Thoee| carrying out the pledge will be inscribed on the King's national roll, entitling them to use the official device for the seal of honor. It is estimated that there are a hundred thousand disabled soldiers unemployed. The newspapers are giving prominence to the King's proclamation regarding disableds, and say there is a clear obligation on. all enjoying the blessings of a victorious peace to - make acknowledgment to those who suffered on our behalf. The proclamation charges employers to keep in their service as many disabled men as the businesses will allew, not being held back by the fear of inconvenience or loss but omitting nothing which will secure occupation to men, whose lack of employment offeHds the general conscience. The King exhorts ministers of religion to read the proclamation at all chapels pnd churches.
