Cable Assn. ASSISTING THE DISABLED. London, Sept. 13. A Royal Proclamation requests employers to employ as many disabled soldiers as possible in their businesses in order to prevent a lack of employment which would offend the general conscience.. The object of the proclamation is to secure work for 400,000 disabled men. Already previously 700,000 disabled men have secured employment.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn. SOLDIER PRISONERS RETAINED. London, Sept. 12. Australian soldiers incarcerated in prisons in' England and France were conveyed to detention barracks at Lewers, where the commandant addressed them, saying they would not be sent home.
