ASYLUM CONDITIONS UNFAVORABLE." By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Last Night. At a meeting of the Citizens' Defence Committee it was reported that the Gisborne Labor Representation Committee had-discussed the treatment of shell shock cases, and had passed the following resolution: "That the rheeting deplores the action of the authorities in sending a number of returned soldiers, namely, shell shock cases, to the public asylum, where their surroundings greatly minimise their chances of recovery, and strpngly urges that immediate steps be taken for the establishment of special places throughout the Dominion for ths treatment of affected men." The Citizens' Defence Committee decided to communicate with the Minister supporting the Labor Committee's resolution.
