and the Maoris present g»fe feftkas. Lord Jellicoe was presented with » Maori battle-axe, and Lady Jellicoe with a native mat. The ladies of the Pictou Navy League presented to the ship * silver cup. After being officially welcomed at the council chambers by the Mt?ors 4f Pieton and Blenheim, Lord JeUiflOe was entertained at luncheon by the looil bodies. An entertainment prognose for the men was carried out in the afternoon, being continued in the evening. Beautiful weather prevailed «bd the town was crowded with visitors.
