WEDDING.
SHARP-LOVERIDGB. A very pretty wedldng was solemnised at the Whlteley Memorial Church on Wednesday, Soptember 10, the contracting parties being Mr. A. V. Shnrpe,' third son of Mr. Jame3 Sharpe, Chrlstchurch, to Miss Doris Loveridge (Omata), the 'Rov. A.l Richards officiating. The bride was given away by her brother, while Mr. J. F. Whyte carried out the duties of best matt Both these gentlemen as well as the bridegroom were returned soldiers. The bride wore a handsome dress of pale cream crepe-de-chlne with net bodlco trimmed with silk fringing and draped with tassels. She wore a veil and orange blossom, and carried a bouquet of malden-halr ferns and fresias. yhe bridesmaid. Miss Alice Loveridge (sister of the bride), was dressed In pale blue silk crepe-de-chlne trimmed with net and tassels, with hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of maidenhair ferns and freeslas. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome silver-backed, brush and comb, and to the bridesmaid, ft beautiful gold pendant and chain set With pearls and amethysts. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at Messrs. May and Arrovvsmlth's tea-rooms, where they were received by the bride's mother, who wore a brown costume and hat to match. After a wedding breakfast the happy couple left by motor for their future homo at Bahotu. The bride's going away dress was a navy costume and a grey toque hat trimmed with small gray feathers.
