A general meeting of the Nelson branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association adopted resolutions strongly supporting the national executive's demand for a Royal commission to investigate the whole question of war funds, and opposing any alteration of the constitution of the Association to admit of political action. INTER-SERVICES CHAMPIONSHIP. London, Sept.* 2. Out of twenty-six selections to .represent the army in the inter-services championships, eleven events, New Zealand supplies four and Australia five.
