The Blackball daily output is now 331 tons, compared with 500 tout previously. This is interpreted by those in the industry to indicate that all the miners are not of one mind as regards the easing up policy. In this connection, it is reported that when J, O'Brien, representative of the northern district on the executive of the Miners' Federation, mat the Hikurangi miners last Tuesday ht, was given a mixed reception.
