THE GO-SDOW POLICY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Qreymouth, Sept. 4. The go-slow p|licy is operating in the local mines. The Blackball daily output is now 331 tons, compared with 500 tout previously. The State mine has not a full complement of men working, there* fore a comparison is not possible. iDunedin, Sept. 4. ~ The records of the output at the Kiitangata coal mine this week showed »', reduction of about 7 per cent. Auckland, Last Nights So far as the Auckland provincial < mines are concerned, it appears that » go-slow policy is being conducted in only three mines, namely the Taupiri Extended Mine at Huntly, Rotowaro Mine, and the Pukemiro Company's mine. This is interpreted by those in the industry to indicate that all the miners are not of one mind as regards the easing up policy. In this connection, it is reported that when J, O'Brien, representative of the northern district on the executive of the Miners' Federation, mat the Hikurangi miners last Tuesday ht, was given a mixed reception.
