BRITISH PURCHASE OP CANADIAN. By Telegraph—Pre;* Ajsn.—{iopyrlght. Received Sept. 3. 8.40 p.m. Ottawa, Sept. 2. Tho British AVheat Commission bought half a million tons of wheat from Canada for early delivery at a price approximately tho same as in previous years. The Canadian price prevented a larger purchase. Tho Roumanian harvest is excellent. The Argentine's prices aT6 low. It is not expected, according to the Canadian Wheat Board, that Australia will be able to compete in Europe owing to the lack of shipping.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
