At the Board of Trade inquiry to fix tin; living wage, Father O'Reilly vigorously denounced race suicide. Rich women would not go through the pain of motherhood dv allow it to interfere with their social obligations. Dr. Arthur said that a two child family meant national suicide. Other witnesses stated that industrial workers' families were much larger than those in better circumstances.
